Business papers of Theodore Rogers, Jr. (1831-1903), president of Bank of the Metropolis in Manhattan, consist of letters, copies of indentures, receipted bills, memoranda and notes regarding legal matters in Illinois, 1884-1902; and transcripts of court proceedings, 1900. Personal papers include financial papers, 1871-1904; letters received, ca. 1890-1903; some photographs; and a diary primarily concerning his hunting trips, 1869-1903. Business papers of John Talman Waters, Sr., related by marriage to Rogers family, concern his shoe store, 1852-1861. His personal papers are also financial. Papers of Mary A. Waters and other Waters family members, residents of Jamaica, are correspondence, 1890-1932; receipted bills, ca. 1820-1890, and school record books, 1854-1855. In addition, Jamaica Village School records including minutes and financial papers, 1826-1853.
